Then I can just set it aside and let it do it's thing. I was always trying to hurry up the process so I could use my "good" pickle pot for its real purpose.Julie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04977405519028248188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2229130401191495228.post-4204866305900723152010-05-15T12:09:23.499-07:002010-05-15T12:09:23.499-07:00I know I was plating "accidently" too of...I know I was plating "accidently" too often by grabbing the steel wool after I rinsed....I guess I hadn't rinsed enough!! It does work without the steel touching, but it takes forever!! The electrical charge created by the steel is tiny, and works so much better if it's touching the work.Asa Pearsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06425422443295911887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2229130401191495228.post-10595118508987837052010-05-15T12:04:27.535-07:002010-05-15T12:04:27.535-07:00Excellent explanation of the process, Asa! I was ...Excellent explanation of the process, Asa! I was doing everything you described, except having the steel touching the piece to be plated. I will try that next time, hopefully it will work! (I might not have been leaving it in long enough to work properly, either. I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting.) :)Julie Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04977405519028248188noreply@blogger.com
